ABOUT the Legacy

History

Legacy Church was originally Well Pavilion Ministries,  birthed in the spirit of Apostle Tami Robinson in 2004, however, she was not aware of how big God was going to expand this vision. At this time, the ministry was formed in her home, as she provided social service resources such as emergency food services, resource referrals and ministry to those who were suffering from a crisis. God began to use her home as a pavilion, a tent of refuge for those who were lost, hurting, and dying spiritually. As this ministry became more evident, God began to speak expressly about the purpose of Well Pavilion Ministries. She was given explicit instructions in 2006 regarding the entire vision of Well Pavilion Ministries even down to the date and time she was to open the church doors. January 7, 2007 Well Pavilion Ministries church doors were open. Services were initiated at the Safar Inn in Tampa, Florida. On that first Sunday Apostle Tami Robinson (then Pastor) fellowshipped in over 10 members, some of whom, remains with her in ministry to this day. Well Pavilion Ministries continued its building process at the Safar Inn, holding Sunday services faithfully and Tuesday night bible studies (Believers’ Connection) and within six months they moved into their first location on Hillsborough Ave. A 13,000 square foot building with 6000 sq. ft. of warehouse space , that would house the entire ministry functions. The ministry birthed an emergency food bank, a clothes closet, over the counter medicine cabinet, mortgage services, and HIV/AIDS ministry for youth and families, tutoring services and charter school for troubled and displaced children.

God is continuing to be faithful, (as Well Pavilion Ministries is now Legacy Church) its ministry focus and vision is still centered on the social, economic, educational and spiritual empowerment for the entire family. Legacy Church is a Five-Fold ministry and  houses ministers and partners who are fully engaged in ministry Apostle Tami Robinson now oversees this vision with the intent of building and empowering families, ministries, and the community.

Vision and Mission Statement

To preach the Gospel to the lost, compelling them to the presence of God.

To express the love of Jesus by way of teaching practical spiritual development and not religion.

To provide a pavilion, a covering of wellness and worship that transcends to future generations,

To build and restore legacies.

Key Ministry Objectives

Deliverance by teaching deliverance from sin for personal, physical, mental, and spiritual growth and development. Sin is the act of disobedience and any attribute of sin deteriorates our human and spiritual well-being. (Rom. 8:1-11). Romans 8:6 says, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”

Evangelism & Outreach Reaching the lost, dying and backsliding generation. Drawing them back to God. Providing shelter, food, clothing, and spiritual guidance to all who suffer lack. Drawing and making Disciples unto the Lord Jesus Christ.

Worship  To Create an atmosphere of true worship for the presence of the Lord , for people to be healed, set free and delivered.
